Ruska and its Autumn Colors
We are at the peak of our fall foliage color season in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. In Finland they also have a fall color season called Ruska.
Finnish Easter Grass
It is still snowing here in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula adding to the several feet of snow on the ground. The only signs of spring are the extra sunlight, and our Easter grass. Growing grass indoors is a long Finnish tradition that symbolizes the coming of spring. It is especially fun to do this when you have kids in the house.
